Insomniac Games ya pertenece a Sony Interactive Entertainment
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) anuncia que llegó a un acuerdo para adquirir a Insomniac Games, Inc., uno de los desarrolladores que le han dado a las consolas PlayStation sus mejores títulos.
Insomniac Games es el desarrollador del juego con más éxito en este año dentro de PlayStation 4: Marvel’s Spider-Man. Así como de las franquicias Spryo the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, y Resistance.
Una vez completada la adquisición, Insomniac Games se unirá a la operación de desarrollo global de Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SIE WWS).
Insomniac Games es el decimocuarto estudio en unirse a la familia SIE WWS. Esta adición fomenta el compromiso continuo de SIE con la excelencia creativa y la innovación en el desarrollo de juegos exclusivamente para las plataformas PlayStation.
La relación entre Insomniac Games y SIE va más allá de 20 años, por lo que esta adquisición demuestra que Sony buscará los mejores títulos para PlayStation 5, tal y como lo hicieron con el último juego de Spider-Man.
Marvel’s Spider-Man ha vendido más de 13.2 millones de copias en todo el mundo, hasta el 28 de julio de 2019.
Además de la narración característica del estudio, impregnada de humor y mundos altamente interactivos, Insomniac Games ha sido reconocida por su cultura de colaboración en el lugar de trabajo, habiendo ganado 20 premios desde 2005.
